We Found The Most Fashionable Rugby Ball, And It’s By Louis Vuitton

Fashion houses continue to transform everyday objects into luxury items. After a ping pong set and a pencil case, Louis Vuitton has brought a new sporty aspect to life. While the kickoff of the Rugby Union world cup has just taken place in Japan, Louis Vuitton has teamed up with Dan Carter, legend of the sport, to create the first rugby ball for the house.

Limited-edition with just 112 produced (a nod to the number of matches played by Dan Carter in the New Zealand team between 2003 and 2015) and available now in a handful of exclusive Japanese stores, this ball is made in the classic Monogram Eclipse canvas chosen especially by Carter. Each ball comes with a leather tee and carry case. The ultimate detail? Dan Carter’s signature is discretely imprinted above the lace loops of the ball. A new must-have which will, without fail, arouse excitement among collectors and rugby fans alike.
