MAN Confirms SS18 Line-up

¨Unmissable talent, brave originality, inspiring viewpoints, gorgeous personalities, plus knowing how to translate all that into desirable clothes," is the magic formula for making the MAN line-up, according to Fashion East founder Lulu Kennedy who announced this morning that Rottingdean Bazaar and Art School will join Per Götesson at the platform's spring/summer 2018 show during London Fashion Week Men's next month.

Rottingdean Bazaar, by James Theseus Buck and Luke Brooks, has been a part of the Fashion East family for two seasons but will make its debut at MAN; Art School, the creative brainchild of Eden Loweth and Tom Barratt, is also familiar to the collaborative Fashion East fashion-show format, having debuted in February for AW17; while Per Götesson's outing at the Old Truman Brewery on June 10 will be his third and final collaboration with MAN.

"They share a wonderfully positive progressive spirit, that feels 100 per cent relevant," said Kennedy of this season's chosen designers (revealing that discovering new talent still gives her a "pure oxytocin rush"). "Their very different references and aesthetics makes for a collision of worlds which is where it gets really interesting. I would definitely wear them all in one outfit!"

In addition to the showcase - always one of the most sought-after tickets on the LFWM calendar - the designers will also receive financial sponsorship, one-to-one mentoring, and will be included in a leading Paris showroom when the menswear action moves onto the City of Light shortly after London. Gordon Richardson, creative director of Topman, Fashion East's partner on the MAN initiative, has a message for the industry in the meantime.

“Hold on tight to whatever you can till June, three of the most exciting menswear designers in London are showcasing their abundant talents. This breath of fresh air is not to be missed - if it’s not on your radar it should be!” he said today.
