Candice Makes Her Return

Victoria´s Secret Angel Candice Swanepoel has picked up her Angel wings once again eight months after giving birth to her baby boy. The model has only made a handful of public appearances since entering motherhood - most notably her Met Gala appearance - and featured in Gap's Mama Said campaign with her son, Anacã.

The womenswear and lingerie brand confirmed her return in a black-and-white Instagram video of Swanepoel, captioning the post: "It's official: @angelcandices is back! 👏🎉"

The Victoria's Secret Angel also confirmed the news in a post of her wearing sportswear. "Getting back into the groove 🏃🏼‍♀️" she wrote. Swanepoel documented her pregnancy closely with fellow Angel, Behati Prinsloo, who is yet to return after giving birth to her daughter, Dusty Rose Levine, in September.

Swanepoel began her catwalk career at the young age of 17, after being spotted shopping in a flea market. She was snapped up by Victoria's Secret in 2007, fronting their swimwear campaign, and became an official Angel in 2010. The 28-year-old was chosen to wear the $10 million Fantasy Bra in the 2013 Victoria's Secret Fashion Show.

Whilst the South African-born model might be best known as a Victoria's Secret Angel, Swanepoel has quite the catwalk CV; a regular on the international fashion week scene, the model has fronted campaigns for Miu Miu, Oscar de la Renta and Versace and has featured on a number of Vogue covers, including Japan, Portugal, Brazil, Italy and Spain throughout her career thus far.
