Gucci's Selfridges Pop-Up Shop Is A Millennial-Pink Paradise

Selfridges’ Corner Shop has become quite the retail hotspot. A diverse list of parties, from Fendi to Michèle Lamy, Gareth Pugh and The Rolling Stones, have set up camp in the prime shopfront real estate. Now, it’s the turn of Gucci.

Of course, Alessandro Michele’s team has Gucci-fied the space. Every inch of the 150sq m area is pink, with bubblegum carpet and glossy display units filling the floor, and tinsel and optic fibres cascading down from the ceiling. Velvet-framed mirrors and the Gucci logo, which has been realised in lightbulbs, complete the millennial shopping heaven.

What treats have the brand bestowed behind the metallic curtains? Two handbag styles are available to purchase as a worldwide exclusive, alongside 12 leather goods that are unique to Selfridges within Europe. The Gucci Décor collection, including scented candles and hand-embroidered cushions, will also be stocked in a first for the shopping behemoth. And of course there will be a myriad of jewellery, hats, gloves and the Instagram-hyped Flashtrek trainers to provide ample Christmas gift inspiration. Open until January 6, what are you waiting for?
