"The idea of ‘Imaginary TV’ stems from a modern poetic vision for, and of, the evermore virtual world. It takes a universal and all-inclusive approach. I want to connect and generate a global network, and bring together creativity while catalyzing a range of emotions,” Abloh explains.
“Adam is Eve” sees its models walk through a space that seems equal parts suspiciously clean warehouse and empty art gallery. The environment would seem vacant if not for the moments when models find themselves in waist-length tall grass stationed in the middle of the room, a small Eden against the white walls around them. And as the models walk, there is a quite relaxing soundtrack of birds chirping, a babbling river, and thunderstorms.
He explains, "Within the collection itself, I wanted to capture what it is to be human at this very moment. Conundrum is OK, glitches are OK, duality is OK, and a dissolution of norms is OK."After the last year spent online, we know a thing or two about glitching. Off-White makes it fashionable.
