Dressed in Chanel autumn/winter 2019 (the same look modelled by Cara Delevingne on the runway), Cardi's look comprised of a monochrome check bouclé jumpsuit cinched with a chain-laden belt; a matching hat; a contrasting coat (which required an assistant to execute the perfect amount of shoulder drapery); and a classic quilted bag stamped with interlocking Cs. To say she was living her best life while dripping in Chanel is an understatement. To quote the singer herself – she was born to flex.
Seated next to South Korean singer Jennie Kim – who raps using the singular moniker “Jennie” – Cardi took in Virginie Viard’s first solo Chanel ready-to-wear collection at the creative helm of the house. From the hot pants that got the haute treatment to the heavy emphasis on denim, there was much in the youthful edit for the performer to snap on her iPhone. Before the spring/summer 2020 looks start to surface in her personal wardrobe, expect to see the content populate @iamcardib first. Go Bartier Cardi, go.
