A$AP Rocky’s Nails Steal The Spotlight On The Loewe Front Row

Fresh from Rihanna’s Fenty fashion party, A$AP Rocky took a front row seat next to Liya Kebede at the Loewe show. The 9:30am start for creative director Jonathan Anderson’s spring/summer 2020 presentation did not deter the rapper, who was photographed leaving RiRi’s celebration in a black patent mac and patterned babushka-cap combo that, naturally, got the paparazzi snapping.

Like any discerning fashionista who has been travelling to the international shows (prior to Paris, A$AP Rocky was in Milan for the Prada and Gucci presentations), the musician used beauty tricks to hide any potential under-eye baggage. Rocky – real name Rakim Athelaston Mayers – held up his well-manicured nails, painted with eyeballs and other graphic motifs, over his face, much to the delight of Kebede and his FROW partners.

Of course, fans of the self-described “babushka boi” will know that nail art has long been a part of the performer’s look. From flames, to flags, smiley faces and expletives, Rocky’s nail beds have become a blank canvas on which he expresses himself. Read into that all-seeing eye mani what you will.
