Pat McGrath’s Otherworldly New ‘Star Wars’ Collab Is Party Make-Up Made Easy

As the patron saint of otherworldly make-up, Pat McGrath knows a thing or two about imparting lustrous sparkle and shine on the myriad starry faces she works with. Her latest project? A limited edition Star Wars make-up collection that is every bit as out of this world as it sounds.

The collaboration, which celebrates the forthcoming – and final – episode of the Skywalker saga (in cinemas 19 December), comprises seven exclusive products for both eyes and lips and includes three of her trademark eyeshadow palettes (Galactic Gold Palette, Dark Galaxy Palette and Mothership IV Decadence) that are bound to take up residence under many a Christmas tree this December.

“For this brilliant collaboration with Disney which celebrates the intergalactic glamour of Star Wars, I have taken inspiration from the iconic beauty of Princess Leia to the gilded glamour of C-3PO,” McGrath, Vogue’s beauty editor-at-large, told us exclusively. “It’s been so much fun playing with make-up and Star Wars, two of my favourite things. The collection summons the Force with interstellar shades and hypnotic textures.”

The palettes – which house a selection of pigmented, shimmery shades and molten metallics, from gold to violet – are inspired by Star Wars’s characters, costumes and landscapes and, as per Pat McGrath Labs’s style, make it easy to achieve party eyes ripe and ready for the festive season.

Meanwhile, there are also products for lips. “We’re achieving lightsaber-level lustre with iconic iterations of Lip Fetish Balm – Flesh 3, Nude Astral, Gold Astral and Clear – in ravishing Rise of Skywalker packaging,” says McGrath. With formulas that contain an array of antioxidants and skin-softening emollients, lips will feel smooth and supple while enjoying a luxurious sheen.

The collection will be available in two drops; the first will be available on 13 December at Selfridges and PatMcGrath.com, while the second will drop on 26th December. Santa, are you hearing this?
