It is no secret that Instagram is the ideal fashion playground for Simon Porte Jacquemus and has become his outlet of choice for sharing key looks and details from his collections, as well as the sun-drenched inspirations for his runway shows. He has perfected the art of teasing (who could forget the hashtag #NewJob in January 2018, which went viral when it was used to hint at his foray into menswear). While Jacquemus has fun posting photos infused with the sweet scent of summer which inspires his collections, he also likes to share some moments of his private life, especially with Marco Maestri, who he has been happily together with since May 2018.
Marco Maestri, a native of Var, now based in Paris, is the head of Yoann and Marco, an agency dedicated to image, strategy and digital analytics, enabling customers to work with influencers who best match the essence of each brand, and thus increase reach. Jacquemus was the first house that started working with Yoann and Marco on digital development.
Fun fact? Marco created the agency with his brother, Yoann, a professional French rugby player, who Simon Porte Jacquemus photographed in May 2018 at the seaside to announce the date and location of his first menswear collection show. Marco Maestri told Vogue: "Simon decided to take pictures of my brother for his first photos presenting the Jacquemus Men’s collection and Yoann told him a lot about me. When he came back from Marseille, we decided to have lunch together ..."
"When we met, I kept telling him that in another life, I would have loved to be a florist, so he recreated my flower shop Chez Marco.” It was during his Fall/Winter 2019-2020 show that Simon Porte Jacquemus created a sweet surprise for Marco by dedicating a part of the set to him and, in a way, making their relationship official to the public.
