Bottega Veneta’s New Digital Journal Is A Naomi Campbell & Travis Scott-Filled Wonderland

When Bottega Veneta logged out of social media for good, it was something of an industry mic drop. But while we were posting mournful #NewBottega posts of our Pouches, Daniel Lee was busy forging the brand’s next digital frontier: a journal showcasing the work of the best of the best creatives around the world. Now, Issue 02 has dropped, and it’s as juicy as Bottega’s magazine debut.

A spectacular mash-up of Wardrobe 02 lookbook shots lensed by Tyrone Lebon, Seth Bogart still lifes, video montages by Mark Vomit, and myriad conceptualised takes on Bottega products in between, the one you’re likely to see filtering down your feed is David LaChapelle’s portrait series of Naomi Campbell. Describing the shots of the supermodel standing tall on geometric plinths against a backdrop of acrobats does a disservice to the abstract desertscape moments. As does Carlijn Jacobs’s plastic fantastic nail art, which needs to be seen to be believed.

Lee’s way of dropping instantly viral work with little ceremony is testament to his knack for tapping into what we want before we know we want it. On the most Monday of Mondays, as Britain’s hopes of Freedom Day are dashed and the rain pours, we can immerse ourselves in Bottega’s multi-faceted wonderland. Beats scrolling any day.
