Peter Pilotto Reveals New Collaboration

It is officially the week of collaborations. Alexa Chung's Winter Archive for Marks & Spencer launches today, Kenzo x H&M lands later this week, and this morning Peter Pilotto has announced a new collaboration with acclaimed New Zealand-born artist Francis Upritchard, due to launch on Matchesfashion.com tomorrow.

The eight-piece capsule collection, which has come about as the result of the brand's third partnership with American Express, draws on Upritchard's original graphics which have been integrated with the more playful pieces from Christopher de Vos and Peter Pilotto's spring/summer 2017 collection for their eponymous label which they showed at London Fashion Week in September.

Upritchard, a long-term friend of the design duo who is known for her intrinsic sculptures and unexpected references, graduated from the Ilam School of Fine Arts at the University of Canterbury, School of Fine Arts in 1997 and has gone on to have her work exhibited all over the world. For her collaboration with Peter Pilotto, she created "a series of creatures and symbolic constructs" including neon dinosaurs, kangaroos and robots.
