The Lord´s Fashion Invasion

It´s not your average fashion show locale, but Lord's cricket ground is set to play host to a catwalk event during the upcoming London Collections: Men schedule. The venue will act as the civilised setting for the unveiling of new collections from the capital's finest Savile Row tailors, as well as houses of Mayfair and St. James.

The English Gentleman-themed presentation will take place on Monday June 17, and will feature a crop of male models showcasing "the modern face of British elegance to an international audience." More than 70 different outfits will be on display throughout the rooms and terraces of the Grade II-listed Pavilion, featuring summer wardrobe-appropriate casual sweaters, sports jackets, light-weight suits, flannel waistcoats and trousers. The tailoring will have a particular focus on "beautiful materials - principally fine woollens - and first class craftsmanship," confirmed the British Fashion Council.

London´s Mens Collections
According to the Evening Standard, rehearsals for the event have already started - prompting a few disgruntled responses from members of the Marylebone Cricket Club, who are accustomed to enjoying exclusive use of the facilities.

The show forms part of the three-day menswear fashion week schedule in London, running from June 16 to 18. We're expecting to spot a cricket jumper or two.
