Mrs Doubtfire Made A Cameo At Paris Fashion Week

At the autumn/winter 2022 Balenciaga show during Paris Fashion Week on Sunday, there was the usual array of stylish VIP guests: Kim Kardashian, Alexa Demie, Isabelle Huppert, and A$AP Ferg. There was one attendee, however, who stood out from the pack. Clad in a head-to-toe Balenciaga look, Mrs Doubtfire showed up to take in Demna’s latest fashions. The famed character from the 1993 film, originally portrayed by the late Robin Williams, is one of the most famous comedy roles in recent Hollywood history. The question is: exactly who was underneath all of those prosthetics?

The mysterious guest in disguise was Alexis Stone, a British drag queen and professional “transformer”, known for her professional make-up skills and special-effects artistry. Stone currently has over 887,000 followers on Instagram and 199,000 on TikTok, all of whom watch Stone transform into characters that range from glamorous to grotesque (Stone also recently dressed up as Pete Davidson, and Freddy Krueger). This isn’t the first time Stone has transformed into Mrs Doubtfire. Back in January, she served Euphegenia realness in a sporty Balenciaga look, while in November 2021, she sported a more traditional, granny-chic look while in character.

Stone’s Paris Fashion Week appearance – for which she wore a floral gown and metallic thigh-high boots – is by far her best Mrs Doubtfire look yet. It takes the cake for being the most unexpected moment of fashion month as a whole. Speaking of cake, remember when Mrs Doubtfire plunged her face into a white cake and exclaimed, “Helllooooo”?
