For its Spring/Summer 2022 campaign, Jil Sander+ travels to the Balearic island of Ibiza to showcase its latest capsule of functional unisex apparel atop a stunning idyllic backdrop renowned for its laid-back way of life.
Designed to compliment the luxury house’s seasonal mainline collection, creative directors Lucie and Luke Meier enlisted British photographer Nikki McClarron to witness life on the island and spotlight the uniqueness within the concise collection.
Expertly capturing each piece’s effortless ability to merge versatility, high-performance and comfort, SS22 offers a glimpse into warming moments of intimacy set against breathtaking landscapes, which is balanced with gestures and subtle pops of color across elevated functional garments. Described as “a subtle, personal story made of single images and characters, inspired by the land and sea”, the campaign is both textured and nuanced.
Stand-out pieces include a 100% cotton overshirt, a long-sleeved wool and cotton cardigan with a hand-embroidered monogram and platform sandals equipped with an oversized cleated rubber sole.
