A Better Mistake Makes Its MFW Debut

Welcoming another fresh face to the fashion month agenda, A Better Mistake is added to the list of emerging names making their showcase debut. As the Spring/Summer 2023 season makes its way into the Italian fashion capital, the gender-fluid label lands with a multidisciplinary event stormed by influential dancers from the city’s Teatro alla Scala.

The installation titled “Alter Dimensions” warped attendees into a futuristic universe encapsulated by booming tunes remixed by Berlin-based DJs Alva and Raven. The young brand explores the divide between the present and digital worlds with its latest collection, “Eternal”. Oversized appeal envelops every garment, as tie-dye denim sets lay alongside slouchy lavender and neon suits accessorized with chunky chained jewelry.

Smooth silks adorn button-up shirts and bottoms enhanced by illustrations reminiscent of shattering glass, trimmed with a green finish. Broad silver track pants don zippers revealing the brand’s distorted “Touch Me” graphic beneath, while the same vivid visual is splattered on tops and asymmetrical skirts.

In collaboration with handmade streetwear label, The End is Near, daring sci-fi face masks feature protruding horns and exposed stitching that dangles in mid-air, paired with a quilted maxi dress emblazoned with “GOD’S MISTAKE” text. A Better Mistake is here to set the tone when it comes to mind-bending collections that leave viewers in awe, and its MFW debut was definitely a spectacle not to be missed.
