Olivia Colman Wears Emilia Wickstead To Receive CBE At Buckingham Palace

Olivia Colman has a plethora of accolades to her name but her latest comes with the royal stamp of approval: a CBE from Buckingham Palace. To collect her Commander of the Order of the British Empire for her services to drama from the Princess Royal, the Oscar-winning actor wore a bespoke Emilia Wickstead Prince of Wales check coat. Colman accented the structured silhouette with a pair of Malone Souliers mules and a Justine Bradley Hill pillbox hat.

Since playing Helena in The Office in 2002, Colman’s career has gone from strength to strength. Earlier this year, she scored a Best Actress Oscar for her performance as Queen Anne in The Favourite. Her upcoming role as Queen Elizabeth II in Netflix’s The Crown (having succeeded Claire Foy for season three) will mean her career will reach even greater heights in the coming months.

For Colman, acting is the only job she’d want to do day after day. “And if people get really fed up with me, then I won’t get more work,” Colman told Vogue in 2017. “And if I can’t do what I love, then I will shrivel up and die.”
