Meet Fashion's New Power Couple

Tory Burch is set to have a very happy new year after becoming engaged to LVMH CEO Pierre-Yves Roussel over the Christmas break. The fashion designer made the news public on her Instagram account yesterday, captioning an image of the pair together: "We are tying the knot #blessed #engaged #happynewyear".

Roussel, who has been dating Burch since June 2014, sparked false rumours that LVMH was looking to invest in her eponymous label when he was seen sitting front row at her autumn/winter 2013 New York Fashion Week show.WWDreported Roussel (who manages the conglomerate's Marc Jacobs and Donna Karan businesses in America) telling them at the time: "I've got nothing special to say. I like what she does. That's the only reason."

Burch has three sons with her ex-husband Chris Burch whom she divorced in 2006. The pair were involved in a lengthy legal dispute regarding their business interests (they jointly set up Tory Burch LLC together in 2003) following their separation.

More recently, the designer was awarded $41.2 millionafter winning a trademark infringement lawsuit against Lin & J International Inc., which the designer successfully proved had copied her trademarks and designs.
