Tait Takes LVMH Prize
British designer Thomas Tait has won the LVMH Young Fashion Designer Prize. The award means that he will receive €300,000 to invest in his eponymous label in addition to a year-long mentorship.
Tait was up against 11 other designers - including fellow Brit Simone Rocha - vying for the prize, the result of which was decided by a jury made up of a who's who of fashion design talent: Karl Lagerfeld, Nicolas Ghesquière, Marc Jacobs, Riccardo Tisci, Raf Simons, Phoebe Philo, Kenzo's creative duo Humberto Leon and Carol Lim, Delphine Arnault, and LVMH executives Pierre-Yves Roussel and Jean-Paul Claverie.
