Rihanna To Show At NY Fashion Week

Rihanna will show her new collection forPuma on schedule at New York Fashion Week next season, the singer has confirmed. The news was announced without fanfare yesterday when Rihanna tweeted a link to an auction page which offered front-row tickets to the showcase as one of the prizes.

Although she did not mention the show explicitly, the lot shares some information about the forthcoming event. Called Puma By Rihanna, the show will take place on February 12 - and will no doubt be watched by rafts of her famous friends as well as the lucky auction winners.

Bids start at $15,000 for the tickets, which are accompanied in the lot by several other prizes including: every piece from the collection; signed pairs of her sold-out Creeper shoes in every colour; a pre-show styling package; backstage access after the show, an after-party invite; and a behind-the-scenes artwork signed by Rihanna.

The singer was named Puma creative director a year ago, and has since helped bolster profits at the sportswear label. She founded the Clara Lionel Foundation - which the auction will benefit - in memory of her grandparents, to support and foster artistic and cultural education worldwide.
