Bieber On His Calvins

All those years of wearing low-slung trousers and flashing his logoed waistband have finally borne fruit for Justin Bieber: he is the face and body of Calvin Klein.

Shot by Mert Alas and Marcus Piggott in New York, the images show the singer in the company's branded underwear and jeans, following in the footsteps of one of the company's earliest poster boys, Mark Wahlberg, who fronted the campaign in 1992 alongside a young Kate Moss. And, understandably, Bieber couldn't be happier.

"Calvin Klein is such an iconic brand and I am excited and honoured to become a part of the Calvin Klein brand legacy with this campaign," Bieber said. "I have been a long-time fan of the brand and have worn their jeans and underwear for a while, so this is kind of a dream come true. This is the beginning of an exciting new year for me, personally and professionally, and being a part of this campaign has been a fantastic opportunity and experience."

While many commentators are fixated on the age gap between Bieber and his fellow campaign star Lara Stone (he's 20, she's 31, if you were curious), the teenage girls being targeted by the lingerie giant will surely care not a jot how old the supermodel embracing their beloved Bieber is while they blithely buy up boxes of Calvins for their boyfriends.
