Take A First Look At The RIMOWA x Adidas NMD S1

Following a bulky rework courtesy of Pharrell, adidas (XETRA:ADS.DE -1.86%) now taps luxury luggage manufacturer RIMOWA for another take on the NMD S1 sneaker. The futuristic silhouette was first introduced in late 2021, featuring a PrimeKnit upper construction, a distinct semi-translucent midsole incorporating thin thin block molds, and an array of Trefoil logos serving as traction outsole grips.

The upcoming RIMOWA x adidas NMD S1 opts for an under-the-radar look with gray tonal uppers, orange accents across the chord laces and heel, and subtle RIMOWA branding printed on the offset tongue tab and heel tabs. A “Made in Germany” panel is waxed onto the orange insoles, and additional 50° text is teased on the medial midsole block.
