080 Barcelona Fashion Week : Autumn & Winter 2013

From the 28th - 31st  January, the latest trends for Fall / Winter 2013-2014 were showcased at the 080 Barcelona Fashion Week.

Spanish fashion designer Desigual showcased supermodel Bar Rafaeli wearing its colorful creations. Paris Hilton was in the front row, cheering on boyfriend River Viiperi, who rocked the runway wearing Mango clothing. Custo Barcelona light up the stage with their trademark prints and colors.

Within a city full of creativity and original design, few were surprised last year when Barcelona moved up to the number three spot in the Global Language Monitor’s annual ranking of the top fifty fashion capitals. Only London and New York rank higher in the Fashion world.

This year, 080 Barcelona Fashion Week took place in the new DHUB building opposite the Barcelona landmark Agbar Tower. A total of 29 designers walked the modern, minimalist catwalk.

With so many designers and so little time, who were our hottest predictions for future success from this bi-annual jewel in the Catalan super cities crown?

Based in Figueres, Celia began showing in Japan from 1998, and has never looked back. In addition to this, her well received collections are also a common place in  Paris (Living Atmosphere) and London (Pure).

She has collaborated  with  Coty, Astor, ModaFAD, Barcelona Design Centre, Dupont  and Lucky Strike. Her first store in Tokyo, is due for official launch in Spring 2013.

Utilising an eclectic palette of plums, caramels, neutrals and blues presented in patterns and plains, this bohemian inspired, multi-layered layered collection certainly did not dissappoint.

The only consolation. My thoughts fleeting sense, where memories are stored.
Round flakes fall to the lonely yellow light. The snow heart.'
