Elizabeth Hurley's Son Recreates Her Iconic Versace Safety Pin Moment 25 Years On

The Versace dress Elizabeth Hurley wore to join her then-boyfriend Hugh Grant at a post premiere party for Richard Curtis’ Four Weddings And A Funeral in 1994 remains an iconic red carpet moment decades on. And now Hurley’s son, Damian, has paid homage to his mother's most famous look by recreating it on the red carpet in 2019.

The 17-year-old, who appears in the latest campaign for Pat McGrath Labs, opted to channel the look while attending the brand’s launch party at Selfridges in London. Dressed in a Versace suit – with gold safety pin detailing, of course – the up-and-coming model completed his ensemble with voluminous hair.

Damian – who bears a striking resemblance to his model mother – made his own modelling debut last month. The campaign, which was photographed by Steven Meisel, showcased the brand’s Sublime Perfection primer and foundation. Taking to Instagram, he shared his delight at being involved with the brand: “So excited to show you guys something secret [that] I’ve been working on with the divine, Pat McGrath”.

It appears the feeling is mutual. “A supermodel is born,” McGrath said of Damian, “It’s no surprise that as the offspring of the iconic Elizabeth Hurley, Damian is a bright, young, emerging star who has an absolutely magnetic personality, energy, and an exceptional look.”
