"The Embers girl gang is based around the fire element with dancing girls and dangerous dancing flames," Barrow told us. "The Jewel Lake Ritual story is based around the water element and is the more macabre gang out of the three. Earth Angels is based on earth and air and on living and spirit women coming forward to fight for what is right and good."

Each jacket bares one of the punk-inspired illustrations upon which the British designer has built her name. Leather is another of Barrow's signatures, so it made sense for her to play to her strengths when working on her latest project. The collection also features three accompanying clutch bags.
"I wanted to keep true to my DIY ethos without having to repeat the intricate drawings by hand-painting onto the leather, so I used the old-school screen-printing process to repeat the designs onto each piece," she said. "The Matchesfashion.com team is very supportive and was open to any ideas I had. It has been a very pleasant experience."
