Calvin Klein Collection Is On The Move

Francisco Costa is celebrating 10 years as the creative director at Calvin Klein Collection  with a new show venue. The spring/summer 2014 range will be unveiled at the new Spring Studios in Tribeca - the New York division of the London photography studio.

The brand has shown at its own New York headquarters for the past 10 seasons. The show will keep its regular slot on the schedule - this season taking place on September 12 at 2pm.

"Sharing our brand's modern and innovative approach, Spring Studios was a natural choice to hold this special event commemorating Francisco's decade as Calvin Klein Collection's fearless women's creative director," said Malcolm Carfrae, Calvin Klein Collection's executive vice president and chief communications officer.

Tribeca Spring Studios has yet to officially open, and Calvin Klein Collection will be the only New York Fashion Week show to take place within the modern space, reports WWD. The show will be followed by a party that evening at the same venue to celebrate Costa's decade at the helm. The event will also serve as a launch for the new Downtown Calvin Klein fragrance, of which Rooney Mara is the face.

The move comes during a period of change for the company - its subsidiary line, CK Calvin Klein, is currently undergoing a rebranding. The accessories and clothing label will be renamed simply as Calvin Klein, to be featured on a platinum label from the autumn. The change is part of a wider strategy to unify the Calvin Klein brands under one umbrella.
