Victoria Beckham To Open Mayfair Store?

Victoria Beckham has declined to comment on speculation that she has chosen Dover Street in Mayfair as the location for her first standalone boutique. The designer is rumoured to be "in talks" about a potential shop opening at number 36, and wants to be close to chic department store Dover Street Market.

She isn't the only British designer said to be unveiling her debut store in Mayfair - the Evening Standardreports that Roksanda Llincic has agreed a deal to open on 9 Mount Street, while Christopher Kane is also thought to be close to choosing a final retail location in the affluent area. A spokesperson for Ilincic declined to comment, while a representative for Kane could not be reached.

It is no secret that Beckham wants to open her first shop soon, having launched her e-commerce site in March this year.

"I am looking into retail too, the e-commerce has been going really well," she told Alexandra Shulman during her Vogue Festival talk in April. "I get bored easily, so it's time for something new. London is where I want to have my first store."
