Meet The New Donatella Versace

Actress Gina Gershon has been cast as Donatella Versace in a new television biopic. The film, House of Versace, will focus on the aftermath of the death of the designer's brother, Gianni Versace.

Gershon is best known for her roles in films Face/Off, PS I Love You and cult hit Showgirls, as well as recurring parts in television series Curb Your Enthusiasm,Rescue Me and Ugly Betty. Based on a book by Deborah Ball (House of Versace: The Untold Story of Genius, Murder and Survival), the biopic will premiere on October 5 on the Lifetime channel in America.

Versace: The Film 

Actor Enrico Colantoni plays Gianni, while Raquel Welch stars as the family's Aunt Lucia. Gianni Versace was shot dead outside his Miami mansion in 1997 and was succeeded by Donatella as the head of design at his eponymous label.
