Anya Hindmarch Takes New York

Anya Hindmarch  is opening a New York flagship later this month. The 2,000 sq ft space has been designed by Ilse Crawford, the company responsible for the interiors of chic members clubs Soho House NY and Babington House.

Situated on Madison Avenue, the store will replace the British label's current NY outpost on East 60thStreet. The decor of the shop was inspired by Hindmarch's love of artists' studios and working spaces,WWD reports. The boutique will be the only one of the brand's retail spaces to house both the seasonal collections, as well as the bespoke line. A British craftsman will be on hand to help customers personalise products.

Hindmarch has one other American store, in Los Angeles. She also has a presence in Japan, Hong Kong, Kuwait, Malaysia, Singapore and Taiwan. The designer announced news of the forthcoming expansion in September 2012, following an annual 16 per cent sales boost.
