Featuring more than 250 of his images, Bailey's Stardust was unveiled by the photographer this morning in London. Subjects including Kate Moss, Mick Jagger, Jack Nicholson, Jerry Hall and Helmut Newton will all be featured in the show.

The exhibition will be structured thematically, with images presented throughout a series of contrasting rooms: from the glamorous to the impoverished, the famous to the notorious. Despite the starry title, the exhibition won't focus only on the photographer's time with the famous and beautiful; his 1974 expedition to Papua New Guinea and images of those devastated by the famine in east Africa, taken in support of Band Aid charity in 1985, will also have their space.
Bailey shot his first cover for Vogue in 1961 and, thanks in part to a relationship - both on and off camera - with model Jean Shrimpton, he became known as one of the key photographers of the decade, capturing "swinging London". His simple photographic style and candid, often controversial, manner mean that he captures subjects in a way that no other photographer does; flattering them and challenging them in one deft click.
