“I sometimes wear a killer heel with leggings and an amazing jacket,” she told British Vogue, as the third release from the ongoing partnership between the designer and sportswear giant Reebok went on sale. “This season we have added knitwear, and it’s so effortless to pair tailored trousers with the knitwear tank and a simple Reebok sneaker.”
Those knits are the highlight of this spring/summer 2020 collection, rendered in a breathable woven cotton and silk blend. Knitted tanks and shorts in ribbed cream have a retro vibe; elsewhere, the collection has a “relaxed, unfussy”, ’90s feel, with tonal shades of rusty brown and cobalt blue, and the odd bit of black and biscuit mixed in for good measure.
The collection also features a new sneaker style: the Rapide.“This collection explores archive cuts but each piece is crafted in a way that delivers a very modern look and feel,” said Beckham. “I’m always looking to combine Reebok’s heritage with my personal vision, and I’m a minimalist.”
That minimalist spirit was very much in evidence on the slopes, where Beckham opted for a sleek black and white ski jacket and matching trousers. “When we go skiing, the kids love bright jackets, but I like to keep things simple so I typically wear either all black or all white ski suits with my Reebok collection underneath,” Beckham said.
“I’m obsessed with the co-ords in this new collection and love the unisex Reebok x Victoria Beckham hoodies as they’re so good for keeping warm and chic when you have a bit of après-ski downtime.” Her husband appeared to agree: as David posed for selfies with his son, Romeo, in Inter Miami CF bobble hats eating waffles, he snapped a picture of his wife.
