Vogue´s Centenary Plans Unveiled

British Vogue's centenary year is now just a few months away and to whet the collective fashion appetite we can reveal the exclusive events that you can be a part of;

FEBRUARY:

The National Portrait Gallery's landmark exhibition, Vogue 100: A Centrury of Style, sponsored by Leon Max, opens its doors to the public on February 11. Visitors will be able to see, for the first time, the breadth of photography that has been commissioned by British Vogue since its very first issue in 1916, before it transfers to Manchester in June.

MARCH:

Vogue has commissioned a special group of fashion houses to create bespoke, limited-edition merchandise that will fuse their own design signatures with the iconic Vogue logo. The product will start to land in selected stores in March - stay tuned for details of who our collaborators are involved and where you can make a purchase.

MAY:

The Vogue Festival will roll into town once again with another exclusive line-up of world-famous fashion influencers. This year the action will take place on May 21 and 22 in a specially built Vogue hub on the East Albert Lawn in Kensington Gardens, while the Royal Geographic society will once again play host to our guest speakers. The weekend will culminate in a special gala dinner to wishVogue happy 100th birthday.

JUNE:

June Vogue will be the one that everyone will want to get their hands on: the official anniversary issue. Available on newsstands on May 5, look out for activity surrounding the issue and log on to Vogue.co.uk for exclusive supportive content.

SEPTEMBER:

Fashion month next year will see Vogue: Voice of a Century published. The tome, which will be published by Genesis in a limited-edition of 1,916 numbered and signed copies, will celebrate the photographs, illustrations, interior spreads, features, covers and contributors from 10 decades worth of issues.

September will also see the BBC2 documentary (currently in the process of being filmed) broadcast to celebrate the centenary. Opening the doors to the British Vogue offices, featuring those who work for and contribute to the publication, the observational series will give viewers a unique insight into how British Vogue is produced, both in print and online.
