The brand has confirmed that the in-house design team will be taking control of the forthcoming couture and autumn/winter 2016-2017 collections, reportsWWD, while the pre-autumn/winter 2016-2017 collection will be presented by appointment only to editors in Paris.
The house has declined to outline who is in the current team, but is said to be confident that it can hold its margins without a high-profile designer at the helm, giving it time to search for the right successor to Simons. Pieter Mulier - who was seen in the behind-the-scenes documentary Dior and I and known to be Simons's right-hand man - is said to have "quietly exited the company in recent weeks".
