Charlotte Olympia For Agent Provovateur

Charlotte Olympia has collaborated with Agent Provocateur to create the shoe brand's first lingerie collection. The label - designed by Charlotte Dellal - has worked with the British underwear brand before, creating two shoe styles for a collaboration in 2012, but this is the pairing's first lingerie offering. It is not, however, Dellal's first foray into intimates.

"I have always loved lingerie, and when I first started to study fashion design I was very interested in corsetry," Dellal told us. "I've have been collecting Agent Provocateur's beautiful lingerie for years. I almost have more lingerie than shoes! Both brands share similar sensibilities - we're feminine, playful and love glamour."

Featuring three lingerie sets and three complementing shoe styles, the collection is - unsurprisingly to fans of either brand - inspired by Old Hollywood glamour, and also features key Charlotte Olympia signatures, including the cat motif and leopard print. Modelled by Julia Restoin-Roitfeld - who Dellal describes as the perfect ambassador thanks to her "unique French allure and feminine sensuality" - the collection features a range of shapes and styles to suit every taste and figure: from high-waisted briefs and a silk teddy to a headscarf and cute slippers.

"This is now our second collaboration with Charlotte Olympia, and it is always so easy and fun," Agent Provocateur creative director Sarah Shotton told us. "We've tried to make the pieces combine the best of both brands: Agent Provocateur's signature designs and Charlotte's iconic prints and details, creating a sexy yet playful lingerie collection."

Shotton - who shared that her favourite memory at the brand was filming a lingerie shoot with Rosie Huntington-Whiteley because she "had to punch the actor in the face over and over again! It was hilarious!" - has spent the last 17 years at Agent Provocateur, and admitted that the lingerie landscape has shifted almost unrecognisably in that time.

"When I started the lingerie subject was still a taboo, and aside from Agent Provocateur there was no exciting and sexy underwear on the market," she told us. "Now, the competition is immense and I have to come up with new ideas every day! Customers are more open about sex and braver with their underwear choices."

The collection launches on January 18 in Agent Provocateur and Charlotte Olympia stores and online, and on Net-A-Porter priced from £95.
