Introducing: The Vogue Colouring Book

Colouring in has long been said to have therapeutic benefits for adults- and what better way to unleash your creativity than decorating illustrations straight from the Vogue archive?

The Vogue Colouring Book, due for release this November, will feature hand-drawn designs inspired by the fashion pages of the magazine during the Fifities, including depictions of ball gowns and cocktail dresses from Christian Dior, Balenciaga, Givenchy and Chanel.

It is an opportunity to add a personalised creative touch to the time-honoured fashions featured in the drawings, reimagining the colours and patterns as you would like to see them. As Iain R.Webb, the author and illustrator of the book, writes in his introduction, "Now is your chance to be the designer." The book will also feature style tips taken from the original pages of Vogue, adding a nostalgic and occasionally amusing insight into the fashion trends of the time.

Readers can showcase their unique cover art designs and compare them with others on Instagram using the hashtag #voguecolouringbook. The book's publication, happening just ahead of British Vogue's centenary next year, is a timely celebration of the brand's history.

Vogue Colouring Book by Iain R. Webb will be published by Conran Octopus on November 5th at £10.
