Down To A Tee: Holland & Holland Reveal Collaboration

'Tis the season to wear T-shirts - not just as a practical hidden layer of warmth, but loud and proud solo. Luckily this season, the statement tee is enjoying a a moment, and Holland & Holland's contribution to the trend is one worth noting for when it drops on Monday.

Creative directors of the womenswear label Isabella Cawdor and Stella Tennant have enlisted writer, artist and Wes Anderson favourite Hugo Guinness to illustrate charming, idiosyncratic drawings to front their easy white styles - a union that Tennant told us "was a perfect match" for the brand. The six-piece collection comes in "a slightly irregular yarn to give it a rustic feel", the brand tells us, giving it that authentic lived-in look everyone wants from their casual wardrobe.

Guinness was selected for the job because "he has a great British wit and understands our humour," according to Cawdor, who - a year into designing the womenswear offering alongside Tennant - revealed that the pair is "working hard on development and making sure the production is perfect" on their entire offering. For Tennant, who told us she'll be wearing her witty T-shirt as "lazily as possible", the ongoing project has given her an additional creative outlet that has afforded her "an incredible opportunity to create clothes and accessories for a lifestyle that we lead" - and everyone knows that includes a hedgehog tee.
